Cook- Henry’s at Graceland Inn

Responsible for the quality, quantity, and timeliness of the day鈥檚 meal production. Prepares food in accordance with the published menus, recipes, standards, and procedures under strict sanitary conditions.听听

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $14.25 – $15.50 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Monitor food quality, quantity, appearance, and holding temperatures throughout service, taking corrective action as needed to maintain standards.听
  • Responsible for the timely, accurate production of assigned dishes according to recipes provided by the Chef, production sheets, portion standards, quality expectations, and service requirements.听
  • Follow proper food safety standards when prepping, holding product to be fired, and holding hot food after cooking.听听
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, HACCP, sanitation, and health regulations, including proper food storage, labeling, dating, temperature control, and utilization of leftovers.听
  • Follow cleaning schedules and using the 鈥渃lean-as-you-go鈥� techniques.听
  • Maintain open lines of communication with waitstaff and other employees concerning specific information about food items; and with management concerning needed products and supplies.听
  • Support other culinary areas as time and business volume demands.听
  • Follow company policies, uniform standards, and personal hygiene requirements.听
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.听

  • Food Handler Permit obtained within six months of employment. Additional certifications required by federal, state and/or local regulations.听
  • Ability to multi-task.听听
  • Must be able to read and write, use simple math, follow and give oral and written instructions.听
  • Must be able to follow a recipe in detail.听听听
  • Ability to communicate effectively.听
