]]> Elle Fracker enters her second year at the helm of the 51ºÚÁÏÍø softball program in 2021-22.
She posted 11 wins in her first season at the helm, including an exciting 5-2 triumph to end the home slate of the 2021 campaign. Fracker worked with All-MEC Second Team honoree Lilly Saucedo, who capped her freshman season with a .356 batting average and seven home runs.
A former student-athlete at the DI level with coaching experience at DI, DII, DIII and NAIA institutions, Fracker becomes the 13th head coach in program history. Fracker arrives in Elkins following nearly one year as the recruiting coordinator for USA Athletes International in Colorado, where she was responsible for recruiting coaches and players to play their sport internationally.ÌýÌý
Fracker previously spent the 2015-19 seasons as the head softball coach at Fort Lewis, where she coached the program’s first All-American and helped the team maintain a grade point average over 3.3 each semester. Fracker oversaw all aspects of the Skyhawks program, including budget management, scheduling, practice planning, recruiting, community service and camps/clinics.ÌýÌý

Fracker was an assistant coach at Valley City State in North Dakota from 2012-13 before becoming its head coach in August 2013. She guided the Vikings to the program’s first regular-season championship in 24 years in her first season at the helm, while also overseeing the Valley City State student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) and implementing it for the first time in department history.Ìý

Fracker earned Coach of the Year accolades at VCSU from the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) in 2013. She also held positions as an assistant coach at Drexel (2008-10) and an assistant coach/resident liaison Oberlin (2010-11) before arriving at VCSU.ÌýÌý
ÌýÌý
Fracker was a four-year letter winner in softball at Indiana State as the team’s primary catcher for three seasons before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in recreation and sports management in 2008. She interned with the Philadelphia Force, a women’s professional softball team in Allentown, Pa., in 2008, where she worked closely with the team’s owner and general manager.

]]> David Pomeory begins his first season at Davis & Elkins as the head women’s lacrosse coach in 2021-22

Bringing no shortage of playing and coaching experience with him to Elkins,ÌýPomeroyÌýmost recently served as the inaugural head coach at NCAA DIIIÌýMarian University in Wisconsin since 2017.ÌýPomeroyÌýalso worked with Black Lax high school club team since 2017 in Wisconsin in addition to his duties at Marian. A Baltimore, Maryland native and standout high school lacrosse player,ÌýPomeroyÌýspent much of his coaching tenure on the east coast.

Working for three seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Indiana University of Pennsylvania,ÌýPomeroyÌýassisted with the Crimson Hawks’ goalkeepers from 2013-2016. While in Indiana,ÌýPomeroyÌýhelped IUP finish in the national rankings all three seasons while coaching six All-Americans.

PomeroyÌýworked throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with Intrepid Girls Lacrosse Club (2014-2016), as assistant coach at Indiana High School (2015-16), assistant coach at Kutztown University (2012) and head coach at Freedom High School (2011-12).
