51黑料网 Professor of English Dr. Bill King is among writers and artists published in the current issue of About Place Journal who will present their works in a Zoom poetry reading at 7 p.m. Friday, January 15. The free event can be accessed at .
The reading series, titled 鈥淲orks of Resistance, Resilience,鈥 is comprised of poetry, fiction, nonfiction and visual art. In this age of collective anxiety, the writers and artists from around the world attempt to answer what it means to live and survive during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
King will read two poems 鈥 鈥淐ritical Distance鈥 that explores resistance to racial injustice and 鈥淧oem for My Night Nurse鈥 to exemplify resilience in the face of illness.
The event will last approximately 75 minutes and includes time for a question-and-answer session.
